Pay Rates (based on years of service): $39.34-$58.96 per hr
Planning, implementing and assessing children¿s learning within an intentional and responsive curriculum for our 3 and 4-year-old group, in line with the Early Years Learning Framework
Delivering consistent, high-quality care and presentation to all work practices
Building and maintaining strong relationships with children, parents, team members, and the wider community
Demonstrating an open and approachable attitude when working with others, collaborating with leaders, co-workers, families, children, and the community.
Initiating critical and innovative thinking to develop new solutions and adapt when needed.
We are looking for:
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (0-8)
Dynamic Educator: Love working in a busy kindergarten environment and collaborating with a team of experienced educators.
Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with Victorian and National Curriculum Frameworks, National Quality Standards, and current regulations.
Clearances: Valid VIT and Working with Children¿s Check.
First Aid Certification: Level 2 First Aid, including Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management and CPR
Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.

To be eligible for employment, transfer or promotion in the principal or teacher class a person must have provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching. In addition, from 3 August 2020, to be eligible for employment in the principal class or teacher class, a person who graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July 2016, must demonstrate that they have passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements. This condition is satisfied where the LANTITE requirement is part of the Victorian Initial Teacher Education program completed by the person.
Miners Rest Kindergarten, established in 2015, is a sessional kindergarten proudly managed by the Miners Rest Primary School Council. Conveniently located next to Miners Rest Primary School¿just 10km northwest of Ballarat¿our kindergarten offers a unique, year-round transition program through regular school visits, supporting a smooth and confident start to primary education.
Our purpose-built facility features two well-equipped rooms and delivers a fully funded 15-hour-per-week program for both 3- and 4-year-old children.
