About the Role
This is an ongoing part time 0.9FTE position.
The Early Childhood Performance and Planning Advisor supports the Early Childhood Improvement Branch to strengthen access, participation and quality across early childhood services. The role works with a portfolio of funded providers, local government and community partners to support service delivery and reform implementation at a local level.
A key responsibility is managing service agreements between the Department of Education and funded organisations, supporting accountability, performance monitoring and continuous improvement. The role also contributes to the local implementation of government early childhood policies and reforms by providing advice, analysing service performance, and supporting providers to meet funding and quality requirements.

They will build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute collaboratively within a team environment. The role requires the ability to analyse data to inform sound decision-making, along with the initiative to work proactively and independently.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Desirable: A relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or a related field.
The successful applicant will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check.

This role is in the Early Childhood Improvement Branch, Outer Eastern Melbourne Area, North Eastern Victoria Region, SRS. The Early Childhood Improvement Branch provides dedicated, place-based support to early childhood services across the area. The Branch works closely with services and local partners to strengthen kindergarten programs and support the implementation of major Early Childhood reforms, including Three-Year-Old Kindergarten and the Best Start, Best Life reforms.
The Early Childhood Improvement Branch plays a key role in translating government policy, initiatives and sector reforms into practical action at the local level - driving continuous improvement in service quality, strengthening outcomes for children and families and supporting services to deliver high-quality, inclusive early learning environments.
