An exciting opportunity is available in the CAPS Central Unit within Parole and Court Practice, Corrections Victoria. The Drug Court Project Officer and County Court of Victoria (CCV) Drug and Alcohol Treatment Court (DATC) Information Sharing Officer is a hybrid position, incorporating the functions of both the Drug Court Project Officer and CCV DATC Information Sharing Officer.
The CAPS Central Unit was established to support and monitor the CAPS in Victoria. The CAPS Central Unit operates within Parole and Court Practice and is responsible for ensuring consistent standards and practices of CAPS are set and strategically monitored to build the confidence in the judiciary in the service and ensure quality, compliance and continuous improvement. The CAPS Central Unit is responsible for the development of practice guidance supporting the delivery of CAPS functions across the state and all court jurisdictions. The CAPS Central Unit also provides operational support for CCS, prisons and courts, court liaison services, training, incident management and advice.
The Project Officer will be responsible for assisting with the development of CCS Drug Court operations within the Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV). This position assists the CCS Central Drug Court team to provide strategic oversight of CCS in the MCV Drug Court.
