About Us
Court Services Victoria (CSV) provides corporate and facility services to support the operations of Victoria's courts and tribunals, including the Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Together, these entities form the ‘Courts Group', which includes the Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners Courts, VCAT, and CSV itself.
CSV staff enable each jurisdiction to deliver on its strategic priorities while also advancing shared initiatives that benefit the broader justice system.
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of Victoria's court system and handles over 300,000 cases annually across 51 locations—around 90% of all court matters in the state. MCV aims to be innovative, accessible, and responsive in delivering justice to the Victorian community.
Within MCV, the Drug Court is a statutory division under Specialist Courts and Programs. It offers an alternative sentencing approach for offenders with drug and/or alcohol dependency who committed offences under the influence or to support their addiction. Drug Court administers Drug and Alcohol Treatment Orders (DATO) under section 18Z of the Sentencing Act 1991. These orders provide judicially supervised, therapeutic, and intensive treatment programs that address not only drug dependency, but also broader issues such as physical & mental health, homelessness, education and employment, self-esteem, and family and social relationships.
About the Role
Based at the Dandenong Drug Court and reporting to the Operations Manager, the Administration Coordinator (AC) supports the daily operations of the Drug Court's offsite facility.
