About the role
This role is responsible for the service delivery across Barwon Health of food and stores items. Support of all functional areas with service in a professional courteous manner is required, adhering to standards across aged care and acute settings. The successful candidate will require a current Medium Rigid licence for manual transmission.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and collect meal trolleys, food, stores, equipment and supplies across Barwon Health’s acute, subacute, aged care, residential and community sites, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Maintain food safety, stock rotation and hygiene standards, including trolley cleaning, receipting deliveries, completing wastage records and vehicle safety checks
Provide courteous customer service and support to Logistics and Distribution Services, following workplace health and safety and infection control procedures while identifying opportunities to improve service delivery
What we’re looking for
Current Medium Rigid manual transmission licence, clean driving record, Food Handler Safety Certificate and current National Police Check, with previous truck driving experience
Demonstrated customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of people, including older persons and people from different cultural backgrounds
Appropriate physical fitness and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, following established procedures and completing duties safely under routine supervision
