About the Role
This is an opportunity to secure an ongoing position where you will carry out preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and approved modifications in a clean environment to well-maintained CFA appliances.
Grade 3 District Mechanical Officers carry out mechanical tasks associated with the maintenance and servicing of fleet assets as directed by the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) ensuring relevant safety standards and maintenance procedures are adhered to. In addition, you will provide assistance to other workshop staff and apprentices and participate in the after-hours roster for mechanical support.
Working out of our Cranbourne workshop, your days will see you showcase your skills undertaking the following tasks:
About you
The successful applicant will have the following:
Ideally you will be a licensed vehicle tester HV (however, not essential) and will have experience in the maintenance of medium/heavy rigid vehicle braking systems, drive line components, engines and body components.
Furthermore, you will have proven ability to work as part of a team and actively participate in team discussions. Crucial to your success will be your ability to effectively communicate (both verbal and written). You will have proven ability to maintain a safe work environment and a proactive and energetic attitude with the initiative to seek tasks and challenges.
