Ready to lead forest and fire operations across one of Victoria’s most dynamic districts?
As District Manager, Yarra, you’ll provide senior leadership across forest, fire and public land management, leading the district team to deliver outcomes across the Yarra District. This is a critical leadership role where your established operational judgement, people leadership and stakeholder skills will directly support bushfire preparedness, planned burning, emergency response, forest management and community engagement.
You will manage key relationships with partner agencies and traditional owners, directly engage with local communities, and ensure the delivery of public land and emergency management outcomes across the District and the broader report Phillip Region. You’ll lead a dispersed workforce, manage resources and budgets, and play an active role in shaping a strong, safe and values-led culture across Forest and Fire Operations.
What you’ll do
About you
You’re an experienced and resilient leader who can bring people together, make sound decisions in complex environments and maintain focus on what matters. You’ll bring strong capability in natural resource management, emergency management or public land operations, along with experience leading dispersed teams and working with a broad range of stakeholders.
You’ll be confident managing people, resources and competing priorities, and comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels. Most importantly, you’ll be committed to building a safe, inclusive and high-performing team culture that delivers.
If you’re ready to lead with purpose, support strong operational delivery and help shape forest and fire management outcomes across the Yarra District, we’d love to hear from you.
