The District Forest and Fire Planning Officer works within a team of planning experts to develop and design tactical plans for the delivery of forest and fire management activities. This includes Burn Plans, Site Plans, and Works Orders to meet required standards and achieve set objectives.
You will work within the Regional Forest and Fire Planning Team, ensuring that local knowledge and priorities are communicated to inform the operational planning processes. You will also ensure that the district's priorities are appropriately represented within the Joint Fuel Management Program, the Operational Forest Management Program, and other 1-5 year strategic planning processes.

This is a fixed term position available until 26 April 2026. The work location for this position is flexible within the far South West District (Heywood, Casterton and Dartmoor) with hybrid work arrangements available.
