About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse looking to develop their skills and build a career in Emergency Nursing.
As an Emergency Nurse, you will provide consumer-centred, evidence-based care to patients presenting with a broad range of acute health needs. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will use your clinical assessment, problem-solving and organisational skills to provide safe, effective and compassionate care.
You will play an integral role in establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and contributing to the ongoing assessment and management of patients throughout their Emergency Department journey.

Barwon Health ED is one of the largest regional health services in Victoria, providing care for approximately 80,000 emergency presentations per year. Under Barwon Health’s emergency model of care patients are streamed to dedicated assessment areas including fast track, adult, paediatric, resuscitation, trauma and mental health areas. Our mission is to improve access and patient flow to provide a sustainable service that ensures high quality, safe, people focused care. The emergency department also has short stay units to ensure consumers receive the right care, at the right place at the right time.
