Bairnsdale Regional Health Service is seeking an experienced and passionate Grade 3 Allied Health Professional to join our team as a Disability Liaison Officer (DLO). This is a unique opportunity to improve access to healthcare for people living with a disability across Gippsland while supporting safe hospital discharge and NDIS access coordination.
The Contract: Full Time - 80 hours per fortnight | Fixed Term until 30 June 2027.
The Position:
As the Disability Liaison Officer, you will improve access to healthcare for people with disability by addressing barriers to care, supporting NDIS pathways, and working closely with consumers, carers and healthcare teams. You will provide disability consultation and advocacy, coordinate NDIS access and review processes, and facilitate complex discharge planning to support safe and timely transitions of care. The role also contributes to building a more disability-inclusive health service through education, workforce development and quality improvement initiatives.
