About the Group
This role, providing Senior Program Advisory support for Disability Inclusion Implementation across all Southwest Victoria schools, is located in the Student Wellbeing & Engagement Branch, South-Western Victoria Region of Schools and Regional Services. The implementation team collaboratively with schools and Areas to support the delivery of Disability Inclusion reform across the Region.
About the Role
The Disability Inclusion Senior Implementation Officer will be part of the Regional Disability Inclusion Implementation Branch who will support the delivery of Disability Inclusion across the Region. The Disability Inclusion Senior Implementation Officer will provide direct support to schools to further embed the Disability Inclusion reform initiatives to ensure consistent practice across all education settings.

The primary responsibility of this role is to work directly with Area staff and schools to support the delivery of Disability Inclusion. In partnership with Area teams, the role will visit schools, provide direct advice on Disability Inclusion and support training of schools and broader educational workforces.
The role promotes and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders and other regional and central staff to ensure consistent, high-quality practice across the region.
In addition to working within an area to provide advice on embedding Disability Inclusion, the Disability Inclusion Senior Implementation Officer will be required to work collaboratively with other regional workforces to support the integration of the Disability Inclusion across the system.
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
Tertiary qualification in education, disability, allied health or another relevant field
Essential
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience with disability and inclusive education practices within schools.
The successful applicant will be required to provide a current Working With Children Check or VIT registration.

Further Information
This role can be based in any of the SWVR Corporate offices. The DI RIT support schools across South-Western Victoria Region. Travel is required for face-to-face engagement with school and Area stakeholders in Wimmera South-West, Brimbank Melton, Western Melbourne, Central Highlands and Barwon.
