This is an ongoing, full-time role within the Student Wellbeing & Engagement Branch, South-Eastern Victoria Region of Schools and Regional Services.
This role can be based in any of the SEVR Corporate offices. The DI RIT support schools across South-Eastern Victoria Region. Travel is required for this role.
About the Role
The Disability Inclusion Senior Advisor (DISA) will be part of the Regional Disability Inclusion Branch and will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Disability Inclusion across the region. In this role, DISAs will provide direct support to schools to embed Disability Inclusion reform and ensure consistent, inclusive practices across all education settings.
Drawing on their experience and expertise, Disability Inclusion Senior Advisors will strategically lead or contribute to priority portfolios that enhance outcomes for students with disability and align with regional priorities. Portfolio areas may include but are not limited to:
strengthening understanding of the VTLM 2.0 and its alignment with Disability Inclusion supporting non-standard enrolments and partnership connections with Area teams facilitating inclusion-focused Communities of Practice contributing to an integrated, cross-regional approach to inclusion across the south-eastern region.

The primary responsibility of this role is to work directly with Area staff and schools to support the delivery of Disability Inclusion. In partnership with Area teams, the role will visit schools, provide direct advice on Disability Inclusion and support training of schools and broader educational workforces.
The role promotes and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders and other regional and central staff to ensure consistent, high-quality practice across the region.
In addition to working within an area to provide advice on embedding Disability Inclusion, the Disability Inclusion Senior Advisor will be required to work collaboratively with other regional workforces to support the integration of the Disability Inclusion across the system.
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory
Tertiary qualification in education, disability, allied health or another relevant field
Essential
Strong stakeholder management skills
Experience with disability and inclusive education practices within schools.
The successful applicant will be required to provide a current Working With Children Check or VIT registration.
