About the role:
The Director, Operations is accountable for leading the operations and business functions of Safer Care Victoria to ensure the organisation performs at a high standard and delivers on its strategic purpose. The role provides executive leadership across organisational communications, people management, financial stewardship, governance, compliance and operational delivery. It also leads the design and optimisation of organisational structures and operating models that support effective performance and long term sustainability.
The Director oversees the coordinated delivery of the Safer Care Victoria strategy across all areas of the organisation, ensuring alignment of systems, resources and capabilities to strategic priorities. The role provides leadership of major strategic projects, system wide reform initiatives and policy development activities that strengthen the organisation's impact and support government priorities.
In addition, the Director is responsible for the management and coordination of the Ministerially appointed Consultative Councils, ensuring they are supported to deliver high quality advice, insights and state wide outcomes. The role exercises strong strategic, analytical and relational capability to influence across a complex health, regulatory and policy environment, enabling Safer Care Victoria to anticipate risks, leverage opportunities and lead ongoing improvement in the quality and safety of care across Victoria.
