Director, Partnerships and System Response
The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) through the Apprenticeships Victoria branch is seeking to appoint a Director, Partnerships and System Response to join its team. This role works to deliver the Priority Apprenticeships program to extend opportunities for Apprentices and Trainees in Big Build, housing construction, the clean economy and other government priorities.
The Director will be responsible for engaging with key stakeholders from Government, industry, unions, peak bodies, and government authorities, and actively advocate for greater diversity in apprentice and traineeship opportunities, particularly emphasising opportunities for First Nations people and women in trades.
Apprenticeships Victoria works with its key partners including the wider group and department, the Victorian Skills Authority, the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority, and the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery, to deliver a pipeline of skilled workers for government's priority industries.
Integral to this role is contributing to Apprenticeships Victoria's strategic direction and operational alignment with departmental priorities. The Director will provide leadership on critical initiatives and projects, ensuring they support the overarching goals of Apprenticeships Victoria.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Apprenticeships Victoria, the Director, Partnerships and System Response holds membership in the Apprenticeships Victoria executive group, sharing responsibility for fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture.
