Director, Office of the Deputy Secretary
The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR) is seeking to appoint a Director, Office of the Deputy Secretary to join its team. The Sport and Experience Economy group delivers programs and initiatives to support positive experiences and a sense of belonging through sport, tourism, events and outdoor recreation.
Reporting to the Deputy Secretary, Sport and Experience Economy, the Director, Office of the Deputy Secretary will be a high-level associate and adviser to the Deputy Secretary. The Director will manage a team responsible for providing executive support, portfolio services, information management, strategic budget and finance, recruitment and risk management and ensures the effective and efficient flow of briefing materials through the office.
The Director is required to hold advanced project and interpersonal skills and operate with a high degree of diplomacy and discretion.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, outstanding policy leadership skills and demonstrated experience in delivering, at a senior level, high impact strategic policy solutions for the Deputy Secretary.
