Provide executive leadership in the Office of General Counsel with responsibility for the Legislation and Policy Team, advising on high priority legal policy and legislative matters.
The Office of the General Counsel provides strategic legal and policy advice to the Premier, DPC Ministers and other DPC branches.
The Legislation and Policy Team in OGC is responsible for delivering integrated, strategic, and high quality legal and policy advice to our key stakeholders. The Team advises on a broad range of matters including: constitutional, electoral, criminal justice, human rights, integrity, accountability and transparency systems, regulatory reform, parliamentary processes and major government projects and policies.
The Office is looking for a hard-working and experienced Executive with excellent relationship management skills to support the General Counsel in overseeing the delivery of high-quality legal services in the Legislation and Policy Team. Experience in providing technically excellent legal and policy advice in complex areas, including the development of complex legislation, is required.
