About the Role
This is a three year Fixed Term VPS7 role
The Director, Land Acquisition leads the delivery of a major land acquisition program for State projects, and to support the Victorian Government’s infrastructure/precinct delivery program. The Director will have a key leadership role, discharge statutory and financial obligations and provide strategic advice in respect of the delivery of the land acquisition component of major transport infrastructure projects/precinct programs and broader government land policy.
The Director is accountable for the cultural and service delivery outcomes of their branch, and ensuring branch operations align with and contribute to broader Division, Group and Department strategy, direction and success.
The Director works in consultation with multiple groups of stakeholders which currently include the Department’s Groups, Westgate Tunnel Project, Level Crossing Removal Project, North East Link Project, Major Roads Project Victoria and Suburban Rail Loop Authority.

Qualifications and role specific requirements
· A relevant tertiary degree (e.g. in law, project management, property etc.) would be well regarded.
