About the Role
This is a three year Fixed Term VPS7 role
The Director Government Land Policy and Advice leads a multi-disciplinary branch in the delivery of strategic advice, complex projects, evidence-based policy development and reform, assessments, data management, and spatial analysis and mapping services relating to land in Victoria, to deliver Government priorities including the improved use of government land to maximise outcomes for communities. The Director is responsible for leading an inclusive and high performing workforce that is outcomes driven, client focussed, collaborative, and professional.
The Director will be an active and engaged member of the Land and Property Division leadership team and is accountable for the cultural and service delivery outcomes of their branch, and ensuring branch operations align with and contribute to broader Division, Group and Department strategy, direction and success.
The Director is responsible for building high trust relationships across government and works in consultation with multiple groups of stakeholders, including the Land Coordinator General, Development Victoria, Homes Victoria, and various Victorian Government departments and agencies.

Qualifications and role specific requirements
· Demonstrated knowledge and experience in land legislation and policy, land administration or comparable subject matter areas in the Victorian context
· Demonstrated experience leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver key organisational outcomes.
· Demonstrated experience delivering complex programs which impact multiple areas of government.
· A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline would be highly regarded.
