Drive Fiscal Excellence and Shape Department-Wide Financial Reform
Are you a collaborative leader with deep fiscal expertise and a passion for driving reform? The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Director, Fiscal Management and Funds to lead a specialist branch responsible for elevating the department's fiscal strategy, performance and sustainability.
As Director, Fiscal Management and Funds, you will provide authoritative expertise on the Victorian Government's Budget policies and frameworks, guiding the department through complex fiscal settings and ensuring robust financial governance. You will oversee the design and maintenance of best-practice policies, frameworks and controls across fiscal management, Trust funds management, Grants management and the Sustainability Fund.
A key advisor to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Secretary and the Board, you will lead a significant reform program aimed at strengthening financial forecasting capability and driving fiscal sustainability across the organisation.

We employ approximately 6,300 staff, including around 600 seasonal staff, across more than 86 locations throughout Victoria, across energy, environment, climate action, water, agriculture, and resources portfolios.
