THE ROLE
Are you
- Highly skilled in digital media as part of an integrated communications and engagement strategy, across a regulatory reform environment?
- Able to produce content for digital channels in a timely manner that drive engagement across platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram?
- An effective team player with an ability to collaborate internally and leverage external networks to increase engagement and communications to promote the work of the Commission and Board
Reporting to the Manager, Engagement and Communications, the Digital Media and Communications Officer will work closely with the Victorian Disability Worker Commission teams to support and coordinate the program of work required to position and create public awareness of the Victorian Disability Worker Commission (the Commission) across disability sector audiences including the wider Victorian community.
This role will also support the operation of the Commission and Disability Worker Registration Board of Victoria (the Board), by coordinating and delivering communication activities as part of the Communications and Engagement Strategy.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Commission's goals, priorities and key audiences and stakeholders and the Disability Service Safeguards Act.
- Provide a project management approach by establishing a digital media plan that supports the Communications and Engagement Strategy and articulates clear content deliverables and timeframes.
- Develop and deliver digital media and communication activities for the Commission's day-to-day operational requirements and stakeholder events. This includes digital media and communications to support awareness and information campaigns about the role of the Commission, Board and the Scheme - for example, supporting disability worker registration, promoting the VDWC complaints service, promoting speaking engagements of the Commissioner or the Board.
