About the Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (VECRA)
The Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (VECRA) is the statutory authority responsible for regulating early childhood education and care services in Victoria. VECRA works to ensure the safety, wellbeing and development of children through effective regulation, compliance, quality assessment and continuous improvement across the early childhood sector.
VECRA plays a critical system management role, providing guidance, oversight and assurance to the sector while supporting high-quality early childhood education outcomes for Victorian children and families.
About the Branch
The Communication and Engagement Branch leads VECRA's strategic communications, public affairs, and media function.
The Branch manages media relations, communications, stakeholder engagement, digital channels, branding, and public affairs for the Regulatory Authority – overseeing timely regulatory communications to the early childhood education and care sector, workforce, and community.
The team works closely with VECRA's Interim Regulator, Chief Executive Officer, and leadership team, providing strategic advice to shape coordinated communications and engagement that are aligned with VECRA's legislative responsibilities and organisational priorities.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Communications and Engagement, the Digital Communications Advisor is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of VECRA's digital channels, along with additional communications tasks as required.
