About the Role:
Working under minimal supervision from the Chief Medical Physicist/Radiation Safety Officer, the Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physicist will work supporting the Medical Imaging team at Western Health in all aspects of medical physics and radiation safety.
The position is suitable for a Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physicist with ACPSEM registration in either Radiology or Nuclear Medicine. This role may be suitable for near graduate of TEAP, preparing for final examination.
The successful applicant may be required to take part in some after hours or on-call work, from time to time. The applicant must be able to independently access and transport medical physics equipment between Western Health campuses over a wide area of Melbourne metropolitan western region.
Western Health Medical Imaging (WHMI) provides state-of-the-art comprehensive Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology services to one of the most culturally dynamic and rapidly expanding growth corridors in Australia serving a population of over one million. WHMI is an accredited Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) Registrar teaching facility.
