About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Psychiatrist to join South West Healthcare's Mental Health and wellbeing Service in a permanent full time Leadership position.
Working in partnership with the Executive Director and Clinical Director of Mental Health and Wellbeing Services Deputy Clinical Director will primarily provide clinical leadership, and further develop evidence based clinical standards and practices. This position supports, and in the absence of the Clinical Director fulfils the role and function of the Authorised Psychiatrist pursuant to the Victorian Mental Health Act (2014) along with overseeing a team of psychiatrists along with a small team of accredited and non-accredited registrars. The Deputy Clinical Director will contribute to the supervision of IMG's and registrars as well as teaching medical students.

This position would suit a Consultant Psychiatrist interested in a senior management role and relevant skills and experience delivering public mental health services in order to lead and shape continuous improvement, safe and quality service provision. Applicants should be registered as a medical practitioner with AHPRA and have Fellowship with the RANZCP.
