About the role:
The role of the Deployment Manager is located within the Probationary Constables Extended Training (PCET) Program. The PCET Program forms part of the Foundation Training Division within People Development Command and is responsible for the co-ordination, management and oversight of Probationary Constables (PCs) training post-graduation. The Deployment Manager plans and manages the deployment of all Probationary Constables during both their residential training at the Victoria Police Academy, along with all deployments for the 19-week post-graduation phase until they arrive at their permanent training station. The Deployment Manager will report to the two Officers In Charge of the Probationary Constable Extended Training Program and the successful candidate will work closely with another Deployment Manager.
The role involves extensive collaboration with internal Victoria Police stakeholders, including Human Resource Command, Road Policing Command and regional police stations. The position duties include the delivery of classroom based informational sessions covering all aspects of probationary constable deployment. The Deployment Manager is also responsible for the compilation of complex deployment plans, notices and statistical data to support informed decision making by management and the Senior Leadership group.
