Department Liaison Assistant
The Role
Department Liaison Assistants (DLAs) are public service employees appointed and employed by departments and allocated to a particular Minister's Office (MO). DLAs support the work of Departmental Liaison Officers (DLOs) who provide a central point of contact and facilitate strong communication, efficient and effective flow of information and advice, and a cooperative working relationship between the department and the Minister and their office.

The position of Department Liaison Assistants forms a part of the Sport and Experience Economy branch within the Industry, Trade and Investment group.
The Industry, Trade and Investment group works closely with businesses, locally and globally, to grow Victorian jobs, drive innovation and increase Victoria's international competitiveness. We champion Victoria as a destination of choice for trade and international investment, international education and innovation. ITI harnesses specialist knowledge of key industries and global markets to develop Victoria's priority sectors, boost trade activities, enhance productivity and contribute to economic growth.
