Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north-east of Melbourne and statewide. We have a highly engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce that is unified by our goal to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives.
About the Submissions Services team
Submissions Services are responsible for the collection, management and reporting of data to the Department of Health (DoH) for planning and funding purposes. This includes Elective Surgery Information System (ESIS), Victorian Emergency Minimum Dataset (VEMD), Victorian Admitted Episodes Dataset (VAED), Victorian Integrated Non-Admitted Health Dataset (VINAH) and the Agency Information Management System (AIMS).
About the role
As the Data Coordinator, you will deliver exceptional customer service and work closely with stakeholders across Austin Health, providing education, guidance and support to teams that submit data and rely on it for critical internal and external reporting.
This opportunity would suit a student eager to build foundational knowledge of healthcare data submissions, or a highly proficient Excel user looking to apply their analytical skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.
About you
To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you:
Strong analytical, problem-solving and data management skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience documenting policies, procedures and business processes.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of the Victorian healthcare data submissions and mandatory datasets is advantageous but not essential. If you're eager to learn and bring the right skills and attitude, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.
