About the Department
The Department of Education provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
About the division
The Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD) is the Victorian Regulatory Authority for early childhood education and care (ECEC) and school age care services.
The division applies risk-based approaches to the licencing and regulation more than 5,000 education and care services across Victoria ensuring children attending services are safe from harm and receive high quality education and care. The Regulatory Authority is responsible for:
The Regulatory Strategy, Services and Compliance Branch (RSSC) is responsible for providing expert technical regulatory advice, strategic direction and leadership on a broad range of regulatory issues. It comprises three business units:
About the role
The successful position is expected to be highly proficient in the interrogation and manipulation of large complex datasets to identify and report on emerging risks. They will undertake range of duties including:

Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification in information management technology, mathematics, statistics or equivalent. Previous experience working in a regulatory environment would be highly regarded.
Essential: A valid Working with Children's Check.
