The Dairy Industry Development Officer position will work within a multi-disciplinary team delivering regional and state-wide services achieving increased economic growth, supporting farming systems and sustainable land management practices for the Victorian dairy industry. The position will play a key role in the design and delivery of targeted, relevant, and accessible services to dairy farm businesses in collaboration with regional industry and service providers that align to Agriculture Victoria priorities. This includes services that assist farm business to adapt to climate change, navigate and to prepare changes to farming systems, respond and recover from natural disasters and biosecurity events. The position reports to the Northern Regional Manager, Dairy Services and will work effectively as a member of a supportive and experienced Dairy team and boarder Agriculture Services team, that is well connected through a network of state-wide colleagues, undertake a wide variety of work across the division and enjoy flexible working arrangements.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
This is a fixed term position available until 10 September 2027. The work location for this position is Tatura preferred or Negotiable within Hume Region with hybrid work arrangements available.
