The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role
The Cyber Threat Intelligence analyst role contributes to the success of the Victorian Government Cyber Incident Response Service (CIRS). The role undertakes proactive and systematic collection and analysis of information and cyber threat intelligence to provide stakeholders with high-quality advice about new and emerging cyber security risks affecting the Victorian Government. The position develops reporting and data insights by analysing cyber threats, vulnerabilities and cyber incidents. This intelligence informs incident investigations, programs of cyber security work, and decision making across Victorian Government.
This is a varied and fast paced role that requires intermittent after-hours work both as part of an after-hours ‘duty officer' roster and during significant cyber incident and emergency situations.
