Cyber Security Officer
The Role
The Cyber Security Officer resides in the Information Security Team in the IT Operations & Infrastructure Group and reports to the Manager Cyber Operations. The Information Security team is responsible for maintaining a range of cyber security assessments, processes, and controls to ensure the department is operating securely and in compliance with relevant WoVG standards and legislation.
This position will support the departments security management needs and implement measures accordingly to address these requirements. This person will establish an excellent rapport with customers to understand their security needs and ensure alignment with the department's and WoVG security policies, ensuring actions are taken to bridge any gaps.
The position requires the ability to deliver high quality services and to support sensitive systems and information. The successful applicant will work effectively as part of an energetic and productive team, be highly motivated and innovative, enjoy flexible working arrangements and undertake a wide variety of work across the branch.

The Team
The position of Cyber Security Officer forms part of Information Technology and Workplace Services Branch which sits within Corporate Services Group.
The Corporate Services Group consists of specialist functions including strategic communications, finance, investment and procurement, performance and governance, legal and legislation, people and culture, information technology and workplace services. These functions enable the department to operate efficiently and effectively and support the Secretary and Ministers to meet legislative obligations and responsibilities whilst actively supporting the department's portfolio groups and Ministers to create the conditions for growing Victoria's prosperity, building the productive capacity of our economy, and increasing participation.
