Role description
As a Creative Art Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and their families through the transformative power of art. Your ability to create a safe and nurturing environment will enable individuals to express their emotions, explore their life narratives and find solace in the creative process.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, you will contribute to the holistic care of patients, offering unique therapeutic interventions tailored to their individual needs. Your role will involve facilitating group and individual therapy sessions, developing therapeutic plans and collaborating with the clinical team to enhance the overall well-being of patients and their loved ones.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification in art education or therapy, and have a current practicing membership with Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Art Therapy Association (ANZACATA) or the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
