About us
Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.
Court Assessment & Prosecutions (CAPs) Officers conduct a range of activities including conducting court assessments to determine an individual's suitability for a court order, facilitating the variation or cancellation of an order, or prosecuting individuals who fail to comply with their orders. CAPS Officers also provide high quality evidence-based advice to the judiciary in relation to sentencing and liaise with a range of stakeholders in order to deliver the best outcomes for individuals and the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A relevant qualification in social work, law, human services, criminal justice or criminology and experience in a court advice, assessments or prosecutions field is also desirable.
