What you will be doing
Reporting directly to the Manager, Centralised Voting Services, the Coordinator, Interstate-Overseas Voting leads the planning and delivery of interstate, overseas and Antarctica voting for the 2026 State Election. The role coordinates early voting operations across a range of interstate and international locations and works closely with key partners, including the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Australian Antarctic Division and interstate electoral commissions, to ensure voting services are delivered effectively and in line with legislative requirements.
This role will be responsible for:
• Planning and leading the delivery of interstate, overseas and Antarctica voting
• Manage delicate stakeholder relationships for the delivery of voting outside Victoria
• Receive and reconcile ballot papers that return from outside Victoria
• Provide training and write procedures for outside of Victoria voting
What you will bring to the role
• Demonstrated ability to plan, manage and implement large-scale election projects and multiple concurrent projects within allocated budgets, and to oversee staff in delivery. Past election project experience is desirable.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with experience in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, including experience undertaking reconciliation or accounting-related functions.
