Coordinator Business Services
- Salary: $97,955 - $111,142 (Plus Superannuation)
- Ongoing position - Expected commencement in December 2025
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)

The Role
As a Coordinator Business Services, you will manage the region's business administrative systems and office functions across the Grampians regional team.
The Coordinator Business Services manages the operations of the Regional Director and undertakes activities relating to the delivery requirements of the Regional Director and Grampians team.
You will work effectively as a member of a team, enjoy flexible working arrangements, and undertake a wide variety of work. Demonstrated experience in providing high level executive support, together with excellent organizational, communication and stakeholder skills are required in this role.
Key accountabilities include:
- Provide specialist administrative and corporate support expertise to the Regional Director including screening and attending to a broad range of confidential and sensitive issues within deadlines, preparation of briefings, reports and policy advice, project coordination, liaison with key stakeholders, preparation for meetings and other events as required by the Regional Director.
- Support the regional senior leadership team, interpret, and apply business plans and policies for others to achieve workflow objectives. Develop and implement operational communication and consultation strategies as required by the Regional Director.
- Support the region's business operations and administrative systems including the coordination of ministerial briefings, executive reporting, human resources, and financial management. Provide strategic direction for and assist with coordinating the activity of the regional business support/administrative team.
- Resolve operational service delivery problems consistent with program objectives to increase the efficiency of the Regional Director and assist in determining and managing priorities.
- Coordinate projects of defined scope and pro-actively support project working groups by assisting with progress reporting and monitoring outstanding action items as required.
- On occasion and only as workloads require, support the delivery teams through the administration of grant programs, funding agreements, milestone/instalment processing and engagement with funding recipients.
The Team
The position of Coordinator Business Services will work across Grampians Region branch, which sits within the Regional Development Victoria group.
Regional Development Victoria group works with businesses, communities and across government to deliver economic growth, create jobs, build resilience, and support economic recovery in our regions. We have a strong role in activating networks; building partnerships; realising outcomes that boost local economic and community resilience; and bringing the lived experience of communities into government decision making. In delivering our portfolio priorities, we work closely with parts of government given the many synergies and linkages with other priorities across government.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to present, persuade, advocate, negotiate and motivate and prepare correspondence, reports, and briefs on complex and sensitive issues.
- Understanding and practical knowledge of government policies, processes and business systems and government accountability requirements. Maintains awareness
of changes and developments and recognises the impacts on departmental operations.
- Demonstrated ability to actively participate as a member of a team to help ensure the completion of common goals; consult with others and shares relevant information; interact with different personalities and adapts to the team.
- Takes prompt, proactive action to accomplish objectives; makes effective decisions by ensuring that issues are fully understood, and the appropriate course of action is taken.
- Well-developed organisational and planning skills. Proven ability to effectively manage and support departmental executive functions demonstrating multi-tasking, utilisation of modern business processes and doing so in a collaborative manner.
