The Opportunity
We're seeking a Contracts Manager to support VicGrid by providing sounds advice and managing complex goods, services, and construction contracts; ensuring legal compliance, value for money, and alignment with procurement policies and project objectives. As part of our expanding Contracts Team, this newly established role will play a key part in shaping our contracts team.
What you'll deliver
- Lead the management of high-value and complex contracts, applying best practice principles to deliver strong outcomes while ensuring performance and compliance are met.
- Partner with teams across VicGrid to provide strategic contract management advice that strengthens our procurement capability and supports great decision-making.
- Design and drive the implementation of innovative contract management tools and plans—resolving commercial and financial issues, engaging effectively with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth delivery at every stage.
- Contribute to the development of procurement strategies, documentation, and briefings that align with VicGrid's frameworks and make a real impact.
What you'll bring
- Experience in contract management with sound knowledge of contract management processes and practices.
- Confidence using procurement and contract management systems, as well as MS Office tools, to interpret data and support decision-making.
- A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to identify issues, provide clear advice, and manage risks effectively.
- A tertiary qualification in law, commerce, economics, business, management—or equivalent relevant experience.
