The Opportunity
We're seeking a Contracts Manager to support VicGrid by providing sound advice and managing complex goods, services, and construction contracts; ensuring legal compliance, value for money, and alignment with procurement policies and project objectives.
What you will deliver
- Manage select high-value and complex goods and services contracts using best practice contract management principles to ensure sourcing outcomes are achieved, while monitoring and reporting on performance and compliance.
- Provide strategic contract management advice across VicGrid business units to ensure alignment with procurement frameworks and enhance contract management capability across the organisation.
- Develop and lead the implementation of best practice contract management plans and tools, ensuring timely & accurate resolutions of commercial & financial issues, effective stakeholder engagement, and ongoing performance monitoring and reporting across all stages of contract delivery.
- Manage and support the development of procurement strategies, documentation, plans, prepare briefings and approval submissions in line with VicGrid's procurement framework
What you will bring
- Proven experience in contract management with strong knowledge of contract management processes, practices, and techniques
- Proficient in using procurement and contract management systems, along with MS Office (including Excel and Word), to analyse data and support contract management activities
- Strong ability to identify and investigate contract management issues, provide informed advice, and assess and mitigate risks through the development of risk assessments and reports
- A tertiary qualification in law, commerce, economics, business, or management is highly regarded, though strong relevant work experience is equally valued
