About the Business Unit:
Contracts and Infrastructure are responsible for contract management, commercial oversight and advisory services, as well as the effective management and maintenance of all Corrections and Justice Services' prison and related infrastructure. This includes:
- The management and oversight of major contracts including those for private prisons
- Representing the Corrections and Justice Services' interests on infrastructure and construction projects to ensure the best possible outcome for stakeholders and commercial partners
- The development and implementation of all required systems, processes and policies to sustain this diverse asset portfolio.
About the Role:
The Contract Support Officer in the Contracts and Infrastructure Branch is responsible for monitoring and processing of payments against all of CV's contracted services.
Some of your duties will include:
- Raising purchase orders and process invoices in accordance with Department of Justice and Community Safety and Corrections Victoria financial policies
- Maintaining data in the department's Contract Management System, Zycus and ensure records are kept current and accurate
- Undertaking investigative and compliance activities including detailed analysis and payment reconciliations to ensure contractual and financial data is accurate and compliant with departmental procurement and financial management policies.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience utilising financial systems and applications (including Oracle) to process invoices, raise purchase orders, and prepare reports to support effective contract management
- Demonstrated practical experience working within a strict records management environment, ideally within a government department or a comparable authorising environment
Qualifications/Requirements:
- There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, however qualifications in contract administration, procurement and/or Correctional experience would be desirable.
