About the Role
The Compliance Officer (Vehicle Standards) applies technical knowledge to identify issues of non-compliance with service provider (Licensed Vehicle Tester (LVT) Vehicle Identity Validation (VIV), Alternative Fuel Systems Assessment and Certification Scheme (AFSACS), and Alcohol Interlock (AI)) registration and licensing schemes to support the delivery of risk-based compliance and assurance strategies. This position will assess and provide advice and reporting to senior leadership.
Position accountabilities
· Exercise professional independent judgement during compliance activities to identify issues in support of service provider registration and licensing schemes and the ability to prepare supporting detailed reports
· Contribute to the development and implementation of risk-based compliance programs
· Schedule and deliver comprehensive programs of compliance activities across external service provider networks in accordance with defined audit methodologies and guidelines
· Assess and present advice to senior leaders and/or external industry stakeholders regarding information security, risk and compliance matters
· Demonstrate strong knowledge of relevant frameworks, standards, legislation, regulations and other policies or guidelines
· Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external service providers including the ability to communicate compliance data at relevant forums

Qualifications and role specific requirements
Mandatory
· Recognised formal vehicle engineering or vehicle trade qualifications in an automotive vehicle mechanical discipline, including a formal licensed vehicle tester (LVT) accreditation or an ability to gain admission to become an accredited LVT.
