About the role
The Compliance Officer will conduct a range of compliance monitoring activities and inspections as authorised under Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act, and other legislation administered by CAV.
Requiring a degree of judgement, discretion and experience, the Compliance Officer will undertake the more complex inspections of traders as they arise, including where there is a history of previous compliance breaches, or following a complaint of specific breaches.
You will mentor CAV staff and provide leadership to workforce planning and implementation to ensure organisational strategic priorities are met.
The West Region Compliance Officer role is based in Geelong with work across Geelong, Warrnambool and Ballarat and will outreach to other locations across the state as required.
