Join Parks Victoria as a Community Programs Project Officer and help connect more Victorians with nature through volunteering, community activation and partnership programs across the state. Working with regional teams, Traditional Owners, volunteers and community partners, you'll coordinate projects, improve systems and support inclusive programs that deliver meaningful conservation and community outcomes.

About the role:
Reporting to the Statewide Volunteering Manager, you will support the integration, coordination and continuous improvement of Parks Victoria's community programs and partnerships. This is an opportunity to help shape practical, inclusive programs that connect more Victorians with parks and nature, build community understanding of conservation, and support people to contribute directly to conservation and community outcomes. You will help develop tools, streamline processes, support stakeholder engagement, coordinate projects and contribute to growing participation in volunteering and community initiatives across Victoria.
What you'll do:
- Assist with project coordination across statewide volunteering and community programs.
- Deliver staff and volunteer education, resources and capability building to support consistent, high-quality program delivery.
- Help embed volunteer governance, safety and compliance frameworks across programs and teams.
- Use systems and tools to support scheduling, reporting, tracking and effective program delivery.
- Contribute to broader community engagement, continuous improvement and initiatives that help more people get into nature, learn about conservation and contribute to caring for parks.

The Conservation and Community Programs team works to strengthen connections between people and nature. We are a collaborative team focused on community participation, volunteering, partnership development and positive environmental outcomes.
What you Bring:
- Experience supporting volunteering, community engagement, community activation or program delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to build capability across cross-functional teams, supporting staff and volunteers to adopt consistent ways of working.
- Strong project coordination skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, track progress and follow through on agreed actions.
- Confidence using systems, tools and processes to support consistent delivery, scheduling, reporting and continuous improvement.
- A practical, organised approach and a commitment to safe, inclusive and well-supported volunteering.
