About the role
A unique opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join a supportive and innovative Community Nursing service in a role that offers autonomy, variety and professional development. This position is a permanent ongoing role working 60 hours per fortnight across day shift, afternoon shift, week-end shifts and after hours on call. As the successful applicant you may pick up additional shifts up to 76hrs per fortnight. Relevant current/recent community nursing or acute nursing skills and experience is essential to ensure comprehensive client assessments, care planning and delivery of consumer centred care can be successfully implemented by the successful candidate.
In this role you will be responsible for the provision of patient focused holistic nursing care to those assigned to you in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes. You will have highly developed interpersonal skills as well as sound communication skills both verbal and written. You will need to have current/recent acute or community nursing experience. Experience & knowledge in the areas of wound care, palliative care, HITH, community health care principles (Active Service Model & Social Model of Health) and continence management is highly desirable.
