The Community Hub Coordinator works to strengthen connections between the school, families, and the wider community.
The role focuses on supporting student wellbeing and family engagement by coordinating services, programs, and partnerships that respond to the needs of the school community.
Build positive, trusting relationships with families, carers, and community members
Act as a key point of contact for families seeking support or information
Encourage family participation in school and community activities
Support culturally inclusive and welcoming practices within the school
Plan, coordinate, and deliver community hub activities (e.g. parent workshops, playgroups, wellbeing programs)
Identify community needs and develop programs in response
Coordinate use of school spaces for hub activities
Monitor attendance, participation, and outcomes of programs
Establish and maintain partnerships with local services and agencies
Refer families to appropriate internal and external supports
Collaborate with school staff, leadership, and wellbeing teams

In 2022, Dallas Brooks Community Primary School has an enrolment of 415 primary school students with 120 children enrolled in preschool programs. The school operates onsite 3 year old and 4 year old Kindergarten Programs and Playgroups for children up to 3 years of age. The Community Hub enables families to be connected to playgroups, adult education and working in partnership with the Wellbeing team at the school.
The school community represents a diverse range of socio-economic, cultural, religious and language backgrounds.
