About the Role
This fixed-term opportunity through to 10 March 2027 is ideal for someone who brings energy, enthusiasm, diplomacy and a strong drive for results.
As the Community Engagement Coordinator, you will strengthen communication and collaboration between CFA stakeholders in the field and internal teams, supporting the delivery of community engagement and education programs across the region.
You will coordinate and support the delivery of regional and district business plans, provide advice on community risk and vulnerability, and contribute to community safety service delivery. The role also oversees the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of engagement and education programs, using insights and feedback to identify opportunities to improve programs and services.

About you
We are seeking an open-minded individual with strong emotional intelligence, including empathy and self-awareness, who can work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Tertiary qualifications in social science, management, or education and training are preferred but not essential. Most importantly, you will bring strong project coordination capability, well-developed analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication. Your ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders will be key to success in this role.
Experience working in rural communities will be highly regarded. You will also demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to lead, mentor and support casual and volunteer members. Qualifications or experience in Education or Community Engagement will be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will have access to a CFA pool car for travel and after-hours work.
