The Opportunity
The Communications and Engagement Lead (VTIF) is responsible for developing and implementing communication and engagement strategies to support the Victorian Transmission Investment Framework (VTIF). Reporting to the VTIF Engagement Lead, the role focuses on enabling early, transparent and inclusive engagement with communities, landholders, Traditional Owners and First Peoples, as well as other key stakeholders.

What you will deliver
- Lead the development and implementation of engagement strategies across Victoria to support community understanding of new transmission infrastructure and Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) development. Stakeholders include landholders, regional and rural communities, Traditional Owners and First Peoples, local government, industry, education providers, and community groups.
- Oversee the identification and analysis of local issues and community priorities to ensure engagement activities are timely, locally informed, and responsive to community values and context.
- Develop high-quality communication materials that clearly communicate the aims of the VTIF, the Victorian Transmission Plan, and VicGrid's role in the state's energy transition.
- Monitor and refine the engagement program using established evaluation methods to support ongoing relevance, effectiveness, and impact.
What you will bring
- Strong understanding of the Victorian energy sector, including the policy, planning and infrastructure challenges involved in the transition to renewable energy.
- Experience contributing to the delivery of Victorian Government energy policies, programs or reforms. Familiarity with current policy settings and commitments is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and manage stakeholders in complex policy or infrastructure contexts, with well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Skilled in developing clear, high-quality communications and engagement materials for diverse audiences, with an ability to work respectfully with First Peoples and Traditional Owner groups.

This is a fixed term position available on a two year fixed term contract. The work location for this position is Bendigo/ Hybrid work arrangements available.
