This is a great opportunity to join DEECA’s Strategic Communications team to promote programs and initiatives that help Victorians save on energy costs and contribute to Victoria’s renewable energy future.
Reporting to the Communications and Media Manager, you’ll help deliver innovative, high-quality and effective communications and media solutions that promote government priorities and DEECA’s objectives. You’ll work across a dynamic portfolio, supporting policies, programs, initiatives and ministerial events that shape Victoria’s renewable energy future.
We’re looking for a creative and collaborative communications superstar with strong writing and editing skills, a knack for managing multiple projects and a passion for community-focused storytelling, to work in a fun and supportive team environment.
About the Opportunity
The preferred candidate will develop and deliver end-to-end strategic communications and media relations strategies that communicate how Victoria is shaping its renewable energy future.
The preferred candidate will work closely with stakeholders and policy teams to support the design and delivery of high impact communications and media solutions across a variety of projects and programs.
Your work will help build public understanding and trust around the renewable energy transition, energy affordability and reliability.

This is a fixed term position available until 31 July 2026. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
