About the role:
The Communications Adviser works as part of a team to deliver key communications and engagement materials to support the department's strategic priorities.
Reporting into a Head of Portfolio Communications and Engagement, you will work closely with branch colleagues, ministerial offices, department executives and relevant business areas within the department to ensure communication and engagement materials are clear, engaging, timely, and aligned to the department's strategic narrative and plan.
With strong communications, engagement and writing skills and good attention to detail, you will be responsible for preparing engaging written content across a range of media for different audiences and purposes.
You will help to develop, implement and evaluate innovative and integrated communications and engagement campaigns for target audiences using best practice communication and engagement skills, tools and techniques.
This role may also be required to provide support to other teams across the Branch, including participating in out of hours media and emergency rosters, providing support for public emergencies, large-scale communications campaigns, and other high priority projects, to contribute to the effective management of workload across the branch and department.
