About the Role:
Join a high-performing team at the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), where we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the health and well-being of children. The role is a Permanent Full Time, 80hrs per fortnight (incl ADO) position. Our Communications team is small but dynamic, offering a collaborative and innovative environment. We are looking for a Communications Advisor to create engaging content and manage stakeholder relationships to deliver impactful internal and external communications campaigns.
Classification for this position will range from Grade 4 Level 1 - Grade 4 Level 5, AO41 – AO45, (FTE base salary $83,657.60 to $92,482 per annum, plus superannuation, plus salary packaging).
What you’ll achieve in this role:
- Develop and implement strategic communications initiatives for various campaigns
- Provide high-level customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Handle media requests, including being a part of a weekly on-call media roster
- Support key initiatives like the Good Friday Appeal.
What experience you will bring:
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic communications campaigns
- Experience in supporting and managing internal and external communications initiatives
- Demonstrated experience responding to media requests
- Teamwork and leadership abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:

Tertiary qualification and/or relevant industry experience is essential (2–3 years)

Experience producing print and digital content

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships

Demonstrated ability to find interesting stories and generate engaging content

Proven success in the development, implementation and evaluation of internal communications and change management strategies

Experience in managing events
