THE ROLE
The Project Communications and Engagement Manager will lead communications and engagement with impacted communities during major redevelopment projects throughout planning, procurement and delivery.
Tasked with enhancing the level of coordination and impact at some of Victoria's most complex redevelopment sites, this role is pivotal in ensuring that community and project outcomes are not just upheld but continually improved.
Operating at the intersection of construction delivery, stakeholder management, and social licence preservation, the Manager will work collaboratively alongside program communications, engagement, delivery and contractor teams to align communication and engagement efforts with broader program goals. With authority to challenge conventional practices and advocate for the needs of impacted communities, this role ensures that the balance between localised community outcomes and large-scale program delivery is consistently achieved.
The successful candidate will work with project teams, contractors and operations, fostering collaboration and accountability to ensure seamless coordination. They will act as the guardian of the projects' reputation, pre-emptively addressing risks and strengthening community trust to safeguard long-term program outcomes.
This is a role for highly experienced communications leader—someone who can drive meaningful change, elevate the standard of stakeholder engagement, and limit long-term risks to program delivery. It is an opportunity to lead with impact, ensuring that the Big Housing Build delivers not just homes but thriving, resilient communities.
