The Victorian Government seeks to appoint a highly accomplished candidate to the Office of the Labour Hire Licensing Commissioner.
The Labour Hire Authority (the Authority) is an independent statutory body established under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 to regulate the provision of labour hire services in the State.
As a regulator, the Authority is dynamic and proactive in pursuing its statutory objectives to improve the integrity and transparency of the labour hire industry and protect labour hire workers from exploitation.
The Authority is a self-funded agency which satisfies its corporate functions independent of its portfolio department. The Authority has offices in Bendigo and Melbourne, and the Commissioner will work across both sites.
The Position
The Labour Hire Licensing Commissioner provides strategic leadership and is accountable for the performance of the Authority’s statutory functions and obligations.

As the Commissioner, you will need to consider alternative views before taking timely action and be comfortable and resilient when making difficult independent decisions.
You will be motivated to put labour hire workers at the centre of everything the Authority does and support and educate labour hire providers who are doing the right thing.
