About the role
The Commercial Tourism Strategy Officer supports the Commercial Strategy Unit within the Strategy and Performance Division by assisting in the development and delivery of commercial initiatives that enhance visitor experiences and generate revenue across Parks Victoria's estate.
Working under guidance from senior staff, the role contributes to implementing frameworks, policies, and operational approaches that ensure commercial activities are consistent with organisational objectives, government policy, and sustainable park management principles.
The position engages with regional commercial teams, tourism operators, and internal and external stakeholders to support commercial program delivery, provide practical advice, and gather data to inform future strategies. The role contributes to Parks Victoria's goal of delivering safe, accessible, and well-managed parks while supporting community engagement, conservation outcomes, and Traditional Owner rights.

The Strategy, Planning and Programs Division comprises key centers of expertise that support the place-based management and operations in parks, reserves, and designated local ports and waterways within Parks Victoria's diverse estate.
